The Young Academy was established in 2009 under the direction of Janice Young TCRG ADCRG. We are a member of the An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha, Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region.

The Young Academy originally started with one location in Verdun but over the years has grown to include the following locations in Quebec

Ormstown, Chateauguay, NDG, and Westmount.

We have recently added online classes across Quebec and in Prince Edward Island.

The Academy provides quality dance instruction to both competitive and recreational dancers. Our competitive dancers compete all year long throughout Canada and the USA. Students from the Academy have also attended the Eastern Canadian Oireachtas, North American Championships, All Ireland Championships, All Scotland Championships and World Championships in both solo and team events.

Recently, the school has expanded to offer the same quality dance instruction on an online platform so students who cannot attend physical classes can still have the same opportunities.

​

The Young Academy prides itself in giving back to their community by volunteering to perform at various events throughout the year, as well as be involved in the St Patrick's Day festivities that take place in Montreal and Chateauguay. Our performance troupe is available to hire for any of your special events.

In August 2019, we were very excited to host our first feis (competition) at John Abbot College. This year we are excited to be celebrating our 5 th anniversary!
